This boathouse, sheltering a historically significant canal boat, is made of a triangular-lattice paper-tube grid-shell structure, covered by corrugated polycarbonate panels. Die-cast aluminum joints were developed in order to use the same-sized paper tubes and testing data of the Japan Pavilion in Hannover for approval in France.
