Internship at Tokyo Office
Shigeru Ban Architects Tokyo is accepting applications from students for Internships at our Tokyo office.
The internship program at Shigeru Ban Architects is considered a training period and is intended to provide students with opportunities to learn in a professional environment.
We offer work experience activities conducted under the supervision of our staff members, with tasks designed to contribute to the participants’ academic development.
Depending on the project, students may be involved in various phases of architectural design, from the early stages of concept development to the realization of the concept in the detailed design phase.
Throughout the internship, students will learn to adapt their skills and are encouraged to use this opportunity to plan for their future careers.
The requirements for accepting interns in TOKYO OFFICE are as follows:
1. Have completed at least 2 years of architecture school (university level).
2. Available for 3 months (exceptions may be made in some cases).
3. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
4. Excellent skills in making physical models, knowledge of Rhino/Grasshopper is recommended.
5. Self-motivated, ability to work as part of a team.

Internship at New York Office
Shigeru Ban Architects America is accepting applications from students for Internships at our NYC office.
A successful candidate will possess the below qualities:
1. Have completed at least undergraduate degree in an Architecture school (University level).
2. Available for a minimum of 3 months.
3. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
4. Have a work permit or visa if not a US citizen.
5. Excellent physical and digital model making skills, please include sample images in portfolio.
6. Rhino proficiency required, AutoCAD a plus.
7. Self-motivated, ability to work as part of a team.

Internship at Paris Office
Shigeru Ban Architects Europe is accepting applications from students for Internships at our Paris office.
A successful candidate will possess the below qualities:
1. Have completed at least 3 years of architecture school (university level).
2. Available for a minimum of two months and a maximum of six months.
3. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
4. Excellent model making skills, please include sample model photos in portfolio.
5. Working knowledge of Rhino/Grasshopper appreciated.
6. Self-motivated, ability to work as part of a team.
