Maison de Peuple

La Maison du Peuple is a remarkable work designed by Jean Prouvé and Marcel Lods, a true icon of 20th century architecture. As such, this project had to answer two problems: 1-Keep the original architectural essence of the Jean Prouvé building. 2-Make the project profitable from the point of view of its exploitation. This is why we imagined to renovate it while preserving the principle of this building and to create a new adjacent building with minimum impact on la Maison du Peuple. To make the project profitable, we imagined the construction of an R+13 building along the length of the southwest façade. The double height treatment of the ground floor combined with large sliding doors allows the generous opening to be kept from the public space.
