Built in a region with heavy snowfall, the second Case Study House sought to separate roof and ceiling. In order to take the snow loads, the roof was reduced to a single sheet of corrugated steel hovering above the entire house. The separated ceiling is freed from the effects of deflection due to snow loads, and the factor of loads is close to zero.
