This indoor recreation and creative workshop facility was designed for children who are unable to play outdoors during the heavy snows of winter. Rather than employing the large glulam arches used in previous projects, its dome roof—measuring 35.6 meters in diameter and 6.95 meters in height—was constructed with the PHP system, in which paper honeycomb cores are sandwiched between structural plywood panels of Laminated Veneer Lumber.
