Mountain hut built in the National Park on Yakushima Island. Utilizing the foundations of an old, deteriorated shed, paper tubes were inserted as walls within a three-story steel-framed structure. Gaps were left between the paper tubes and filled with transparent vinyl tubes, allowing natural light to filter through. The paper tubes were designed so that each one could be easily replaced when repairs are needed.
