Walls facing east and west define the space of Villa Torii, harmonizing interior and exterior by inviting the sun and wind to pass through freely. Laminated wood girders are fastened on top of these two main walls and braced by tension cables running to the ground. The space within is further defined by curved, freestanding masonry walls.
