The Metal Shutter House is a residential condominium with a gallery space on the ground floor. The building is located in the West Chelsea District of Manhattan just west of the High Line. The Metal Shutter House was inspired by rollup security shutters commonly seen throughout the district. Double height spaces opening to the outdoors via bi-folding glass doors at the North and South facades. The North façade features screens made of roll-up perforated security shutters that provide privacy while helping create distinctly unique views to the city beyond.
