Glass Shutter House

Back

The rectangular volume of the Glass Shutter House matches the height of the neighboring buildings and occupies half of the site, leaving the remaining space open. The courtyard is left open to the road, and the front facing public facade, and the semi-public side facade create a hierarchy of spaces. These facades are of full-height glass shutters that when the side facing shutters are opened the interior space extends to become a semi-public courtyard.
