Prototype of Paper Log House Completed
A prototype of the Paper Log House was constructed at Shibaura Institute of Technology.
The design is adapted from previous Paper Log Houses developed and built in Turkey, Morocco, Hawaii, and Japan between 2024 and 2025, with modifications to suit the climatic conditions of Venezuela. The basic structural system is maintained, using paper tube columns and roof frames combined with pre-assembled timber frames for the walls and roof panels.
By preparing the wall and roof components in advance, the system is designed to simplify on-site assembly and enable rapid construction, allowing temporary housing to be provided efficiently in the aftermath of a disaster.
A prototype is currently also being planned for construction in Venezuela to further test and adapt the system to local conditions.

Prototype of the Paper Partition System (PPS) Completed
Our local partner, Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB), is leading preparations for the introduction of the Paper Partition System (PPS) for evacuation shelters.
A prototype of the PPS using locally produced paper tubes has been completed. Moving forward, preparations will continue for its installation in evacuation shelters while working closely with relevant organizations to facilitate the deployment of the PPS.
