Voluntary Architects’ Network (VAN), a non-profit organization, has launched relief activities in response to the Venezuela Earthquake that struck on June 24, 2026.

As an emergency relief measure, VAN is providing the Paper Partition System (PPS) to evacuation shelters to help improve living conditions for evacuees. As part of its medium- to long-term recovery efforts, VAN is also planning to construct temporary housing using its Paper Log House system.

At present, the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) in Venezuela is leading preparations for the installation of the PPS, while in Japan, VAN is producing a prototype of the Paper Log House for future construction in the affected areas.

In the coming months, VAN will continue to work in close collaboration with local universities, architects and other building professionals, as well as government agencies, to provide phased support tailored to the evolving needs of the affected communities.
