This is the temporary shelter constructed at Daanbantayan, Cebu, Philippines, following the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan in November of 2013. The construction methods of previous paper log house projects (in Kobe, Turkey, and India) were very complicated and time-consuming to build in high volumes. In this design, we have incorporated the connection system of the Paper Partition System, which made it possible to simplify the construction thus shortening the construction period. The construction was carried out in cooperation with students from the University of San Carlos in Cebu.
