This temporary pavilion was built as the main venue for the Biennale held in a park within the West Kowloon Cultural District in Hong Kong. The vaulted structure, spanning 18m and extending 30m in length, is composed of paper tube truss arches and steel joints. The trusses use paper tubes with a diameter of 336 mm, while the vertical supports use 243 mm diameter paper tubes, with steel rods for bracing fixed to the steel joints. The foundation consists of four 20-foot-long shipping containers filled with sandbags, and the roof is made of translucent corrugated polycarbonate panels.
