The shipyards of the Osaka Harbour was at the heart of this redevelopment project. Rather than first designing a town, the idea was to examine the people living there, and by reading into the existing context, a process of naturally revitalizing the town was planned. By utilizing the docks of the shipyard, and creating such things as floating theaters, this project aimed at creating a town where the history of the place could be sensed.
