New Temporary House

Back

This new temporary house is constructed of a panel system developed in collaboration with Daiwa Lease, a manufacturer of prefabricated homes. These structural panels are composed of urethane foam, sandwiched by fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP).  This system can be customized to suit the lifestyle and climate of each country, and reduce construction time and costs.  It is intended that these houses be produced locally in developing countries for low-income families, as well as be supplied on a priority basis as temporary housing in the event of a disaster.
