Kumamoto Wooden Prefabricated Temporary Housing

Back

The 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake are a series of earthquakes, including a magnitude 7.0 and 6.2, beneath Kumamoto City in the Kyushu Region of Japan. This is a housing complex of three temporary timber buildings for ten families who were victims of the Kumamoto Earthquake at Mifune Town in Kumamoto Prefecture. The structure of the temporary house is built from structural panels comprised of timber and plywood. To minimize work to be done at site and to shorten construction period, these panels were prefabricated at the factory and then brought to the site.
