Mul(ti) House

Back

The Mul(ti)houses reference the first social housing projects built in Mulhouse, which unified four housing units back to back on a cross-shaped wall. Built on the neighbouring site to form a new urban situation with the old houses, a shared central wall organizes the 12 new units linearly on its north and south, taking advantage of the postive points of multiple dwellings as well as those of detached houses. Stacked container boxes provide bathrooms and kitchens, in between which living and bed rooms were created.
