This site is located on the northern slope of a villa area in South Hakone. The scenery to the north provides unobstructed views to Mt.Fuji on a fine day, without any other houses in the periphery. On the other hand, with houses on all other sides, one is brought back to reality. In order to block site-lines from all sides the idea of a crescent shaped plan that corresponds to the site and opens to the north was formed. The cross section looks like the letter “C” (or rather a letter “U” on its side).
