In order to celebrate the 100th birthday anniversary of the painter Victor Vasarely, this paper tube pavilion was set in the Fondation Vasarely in the southern part of France. It was initially planned to connect the hexagonal roof of the pavilion with the same hexagonal roof of the foundation’s main building. However, in order to avoid the load of the pavilion which works in a horizontal way on the existing building, the pavilion was redirected to be set in the garden. As a consequence, it was required to replace the central gutter pipe to form a cantilever with a steel pipe, connected from the building’s foundation, transferring the horizontal forces from the pavilion.
