Nomadic Museum in New York

Built on the Manhattan’s historic Pier 57 on the Hudson River, the Nomadic Museum is a traveling temporary museum for the Ashes and Snow Exhibit of the Canadian photographer, Gregory Colbert. Constructed of 148 locally rented shipping containers and 34 foot tall recyclable paper tubes and a membrane roof, the museum is designed to be easily constructed and reassembled in other cities around the world. After making its debut in New York, it then traveled to in Santa Monica and Tokyo. The building stands 53’ high, 67’ wide and 672’ long.
