A book café built as an extension to the home of author Yu Miri in Minami Soma City. Created as part of the recovery support efforts following the Tohoku earthquake, it serves as a community hub for local residents and as a place where high school students can freely spend time while waiting for the infrequent trains. In the parking space in front of the house, students from the Shigeru Ban Laboratory at Keio University SFC constructed a 30-square-meter book café space and furniture, using paper tube columns and bookshelves as the structural elements
