This community center was built within a temporary housing complex featuring DLT wooden temporary houses. Noto roof tiles, essential to the landscape of Oku-Noto, were reclaimed from houses scheduled for demolition and reused. The center’s DLT culverts were placed separately from the temporary houses, with a sloped roof spanning between them, covered with the reclaimed Noto tiles we have collected through the Kawara Project.
Cooperation: The Nippon Foundation, Tokyo Kibaseizai Organization, KARIMOKU FURNITURE INC.
