The paper tube truss of the East Gate of the Odawara Festival was again employed in the Library of a Poet, but here wood joints replaced steel. Prefabricated, full-height bookshelves, equipped with insulation and exterior finish, were fixed to the ground and stand independently of the structure with strength to absorb wind loads.
