The purpose of this project is to construct a symbolic building for the Saint-Jean-Belcier BIA neighbourhood Bordeaux-Euratlantique. The concept consists of stacking cross-laminated timber (CLT) modules with basic units whose dimensions have been calculated in accordance with those required for the different types of apartments. All modules of the rectangular tubes with all four faces made of CLT are produced off-site, and finally stacked in a checkered pattern on site. In addition to the advantage of using a prefabrication system, both in terms of the environment and the speed of implementation, this system allows the intervention of various tradesmen to be minimized since the interior of these boxes can be used as the interior finish.
