Skolkovo Golf Club House

Back

This club house is located within a golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus in Moscow. As a timber structure in Russia, the design draws influence from traditional log house construction. Logs lined up following the contour lines of the site act as a screen to conceal the view. As visitors pass through the screen and descend to each lower level within the club house, the beautiful view can be experienced as it gradually expands. The roof is sloped to also match the site, and the side from the colonnade to the golf course is designed so that it blends in with the environment.
