Set in a quiet residential in Kamakura, the narrow site backs onto a steep hill. The main space is a large picture window that opens out to a balcony facing the colorful canvas of flowering trees rising up the hill. In contrast, the adjacent wall is like a monotone ink painting composed by a white translucent membrane projecting the shadow of trees lining the edge of the site.
