The heavy rains in western Japan (heavy rains of July 2018) were heavy rain disasters that occurred from June 28 to July 8, 2018, causing extensive damage mainly in Hiroshima and Okayama prefectures. Voluntary Architects Network + Keio University SFC Shigeru Ban Laboratory set up a simple partition system using paper tubes and cloth in an evacuation shelter from July 13th to September 12th.
