Shortly after the fire at Notre-Dame de Paris occurred on 15th of April, 2019, we proposed a temporary structure in front of the cathedral in order to welcome visitors and to hold religious events. The structure was intended to be built quickly, using second hand shipping containers, paper tube columns and a standard membrane roof. A viewing platform was planned at the East end of the structure to allow visitors to overlook the construction site where the cathedral is being repaired.
