When visiting the site in Karuizawa, there was a forest unique to Karuizawa where beautiful trees grow thick. The first thought was to gently insert the building between the trees without cutting them. Therefore, the undulating shape, width and length of the building naturally led to a unique form, depending on the position of trees on the site. Using a PHP (Paper Honeycomb + Plywood) panel was the best way to efficiently structure the irregular plan shapes that all have different angles. Complex clusters were created in an organic form of architecture that was randomly fixed by the position of existing trees. Due to this, all rooms have different views and terraces, so the guests can enjoy the rooms with different features even if they visit many times. Furniture and lighting fixtures were also unified with original designs.
