This Kurhaus consists of hot spring facility with a split-level double height space topped with a large roof structure composed of interdependently connected logs, 1.8m in length, and a 50m long walk-in hot spring zone. There is a traditional nude hot spring zone and another allowing swimwear that can be enjoyed by men, women and also foreign visitors. The slope from the entrance leads to the dressing rooms. Half a floor up is the nude hot spring, and half a floor down is the Kurhaus zone also the starting point of the walk-in bath that extends along Serikawa River. The bathers can exercise in the hot spring enjoying the different seasons in the landscape.

The Kur Restaurant is composed of paper tubes made of wood and recycled paper. It serves as the reception to the whole park and the columns of paper tubes gently divide the restaurant and the entrance. The Kur Hotel is a cottage type accommodation as to unify with the surrounding landscape. There are single type and twin type (with and without loft), both of which adopt a construction method that uses a series of PHP panels – honeycomb panels sandwiched between cypress plywood. The space between the frames is used effectively for beds, desks and storages.
