On the long site stretched from north to south along the JR Chuo West Line, the function of the government building and disaster prevention center are divided into three buildings. The interchange building and the disaster prevention health center building are located on both wings centering on the administrative building. Each building has a traditional warped roof and three types of wooden suspension structures using local timber. By placing buildings on the track side, the disaster prevention plaza is secured to the maximum, and it will serve as a base during disaster.
